What's Up:
Married to Alan in ’68.  We lived in Loveland for 26 years (minus a year each in Palo Alto and Greensboro, NC).  Once the kids were launched, we moved to Boulder in ’95.

Together we hike, backpack, cross country and downhill ski.  I’m in a Wed. women’s hiking group.  I’ve changed the landscape in the yard and like to garden; also tend the circle in our cul-de-sac.  I’m in a sewing group, but don’t focus on that.  Enjoy baking/cooking.

We sailed the Caribbean for 2 weeks in 2000 with a couple who captained the sail boat.  Since then have traveled to Alberta Canada, Kauai and Playa del Carmen.

My Occupation:
During child raising, I had the luxury of devoting many hours to volunteer efforts --- schools, clubs, groups, fund raising, food baskets.  Before kids I taught physical education a few years.  After moving to Boulder, I’ve worked part time for Boulder Meals on Wheels, as a Client/Volunteer coordinator.  It’s like a volunteer job with pay.  Each day there are mini soap operas, but a feeling I’ve contributed to a good cause.

My Family:
Our son Eric (31) married Erica  !!!! in 2001.  They met in the CU marching band .  He played trombone, Erica played clarinet.  Eric is an electrical engineer (like his dad), currently works for a Calif.-based company, designing microchips for DVDs/entertainment use.  Erica (Masters in Public Administration) is a budget analyst for the CO Dept. of Revenue.  They purchased a new home in northern Broomfield and are furnishing/landscaping it.

Daughter Heather (28) married Jon Portillo in 2000. They met through gymnastics programs at AZ State University (Tempe) where they still live.  Heather is a commercial interior designer --- restaurants, law firms, retail businesses, and Jon is a representative for Northwestern Mutual Life.  Jon coaches kid gymnastics for fun, and also sky dives.  Heather has done 5 marathons and now coaches others on weekends, through Team in Training (Leukemia Society).

My younger sisters live in CO and brother Rob lives in WY.  Idella, Norene and I hosted a dinner gathering for Mom’s 90th birthday July  2005 at Jefferson Ave. Church with 96 in attendance.  Idella lives with Mom, since dad’s passing in ’89.  At age 90, Mom has no great grandchildren, but 5 grandchildren (from age 10 -31).  We’re late bloomers.

Favorite Memories:
Farmer’s Barns, GAA, Pep Club, bon fires, fantastic musicals to attend, Mr. Bradley in world history as well as gymnastics coach.  The ’63 basketball championship with team member Don Alley --- a brother of my friends who were in dance, 4-H, Grange and church together.
